P&M Corsican whisky is a work of art born of the synergy between two emblematic Corsican institutions: the Pietra brewery and the Mavela distillery. Together, they have pooled their expertise to create an exceptional whisky, an authentic reflection of the island's traditions and passion.
A rigorous distillation process
The brewing and fermentation stages take place at the Pietra brewery. The P&M wash is then distilled at the Mavela estate using a Holstein still. Each batch of P&M Corsican whisky is the result of unrivalled precision and mastery. Careful distillation preserves and sublimates the aromas, offering incomparable richness and depth.
Noble and careful aging
After distillation, the whisky is aged on site. The ageing cellar houses French “haute futaie” oak casks from the Tronçais forest, renowned the world over for the nobility of its wood. Before the whisky is made, these casks are used by the finest Corsican winemakers to elaborate their exceptional vintages, enriching the whisky with subtle, complex notes.
