The Corsican clementine, the only French clementine

The clementine tree is a shrub resulting from a hybridization between a mandarin tree and an orange tree. It measures 3 to 4 meters high and its life span is about 40 years. The flowering of the clementine tree takes place in March-April and the fruits are to be picked from maturity from October to March. The Corsican clementine, fruit of the clementine tree, is the only French clementine. In February 2007, it obtained the IGP label. It is a juicy fruit with a fine and shiny skin, seedless, with a delicately sweet and sour taste. Rich in vitamin C.
