The honeydew is collected from May to September on the coastal areas and the wooded areas associated with the maquis. The cistus associated with calicotomes, oaks, eucalyptus etc. constitute its floral dominants.

Dark amber to very dark, malty taste, aroma of liquorice, caramel and ripe fruit, persistent in the mouth.
