In 1884, Louis Napoleon Mattéi launched a new product on the market which quickly became popular with consumers in many countries: Cap Corse Mattei, born from an exceptional formula (a cinchona aperitif). Anxious to combat the fever of the time, Louis Napoleon Mattéi had the idea of mixing Muscat du Cap Corse with an original recipe based on a decoction of aromatic plants, orange and cinchona. The quality of its basic ingredients, its ageing in oak barrels are the guarantee of its newfound audience. CAP CORSE Mattéi, like the great wines, becomes better with age.
