Recipe of the Corsican Fig Tart
A simple recipe for a simple pleasure: the Corsican fig tart. The fig, a soft and sweet fruit, can be found on the markets from September.
It is thus the ideal moment to carry out a good tart with Corsican figs. This dessert is very appreciated for its lightness and its greediness. Ingredients for 8
- 1 shortbread pastry from a baker, store-bought or homemade
- 1,2 kg of figs
- Corsican fig and walnut jam
- 30g of butter
- Brown sugar
- Corsican honey (maquis de printemps Tristani AOP)
Preparation of the Corsican Fig Tart
(Total time: 40min = Preparation: 15min + Cooking: 25min)
Step 1: Cut the figs into thin slices of 0.5 cm.
Step 2: Preheat your oven to 180°C ventilated.
Step 3: Place the shortcrust pastry in the bottom of your mold.
Step 4: Spread a thin layer of Corsican fig and walnut jam on the bottom of the pastry.
Step 5: Add the fig slices one on top of the other to make a rosette.
Step 6: Brush the fig slices with Corsican honey.
Step 7: Sprinkle butter on top and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Step 8: Bake the pie for 25min at half height (check the cooking time according to your oven).
Tasting
The Corsican fig tart goes very well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Conservation
You can keep the tart in an airtight box for 2 or 3 days.
